Bombardier Global 8000

Bombardier’s flagship Global 8000 is designed for the Dallas-to-Singapore problem: 9,800 nautical miles in a straight line, requiring a one-stop strategy for any aircraft currently in production. With 8,000 nautical miles of certified range, the 8000 reaches Sydney nonstop from DFW and cuts the Singapore routing to a single short stop. It is the most capable purpose-built business jet flying today.

The 8000 shares the 7500 airframe but carries more fuel and achieves a higher maximum range through aerodynamic refinements and engine-rating adjustments. The four-zone cabin carries up to 19 passengers with a dedicated master suite, a full office zone, a dining area, and a forward lounge. Rolls-Royce Pearl 15B engines power the aircraft at a Mach 0.925 high-speed cruise. Full specifications for the Bombardier Global 8000 are published by Bombardier.

Why the Bombardier Global 8000 Fits Dallas

Dallas to Sydney Kingsford Smith is roughly 8,700 nautical miles. The Global 8000 covers that in one segment when payload is managed carefully, removing the fuel stop that every other business jet requires on Australia-bound departures from DFW.

Executives at Dallas-area energy companies with upstream operations in Australia or Southeast Asia have historically faced a painful choice: commercial business class with two connections or a heavy jet with a fuel stop. The 8000 removes that calculation.

For groups departing from Alliance Airport (KAFW), which has an 11,125-foot runway, the 8000 can generally lift with a workable payload, though full-fuel maximum-range missions are best positioned from DFW’s longer 13,401-foot strip.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
