When flight departments call us
Corporate flight departments use external charter backup in a few recurring situations:
- Aircraft on ground (AOG): Unscheduled maintenance grounds the aircraft and a trip cannot wait. We source equivalent lift for the day while your aircraft is back in service.
- Simultaneous demand: Two trips on the same day, one aircraft in the hangar. We cover the trip your fleet cannot.
- Overage on capacity: Your aircraft holds 8 passengers and a group of 14 needs to travel together. We source the appropriate aircraft for the additional load or the full group.
- Aircraft type mismatch: Your King Air is the right aircraft for most trips, but this one calls for a heavy jet range. We provide the aircraft your fleet does not carry.
- Temporary fleet gap: Between aircraft disposals and acquisitions, a department may run a reduced fleet for months. We fill the gap on demand.
Our role
We act as your broker, not your operator. We source third-party Part 135 operators who meet your company’s vetting standards and ours. We do not operate aircraft. Every operator we present holds FAR Part 135 or FAR Part 121 certification, and we review safety history, pilot currency, and ARGUS and Wyvern audit status before presenting options. Disclosure under DOT Part 295: we always act strictly as the agent for the client, never as the operator.
Working with your flight department standards
Corporate flight departments often have their own operator approval requirements and insurance minimums. If your department maintains an approved vendor list or requires specific coverage levels, let us know at the start. We will source within those parameters rather than present operators you cannot use.
