Textron Aviation announced the Citation Hemisphere at the 2016 National Business Aviation Association convention as the largest aircraft in the Citation family. The design called for Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines, a stand-up cabin wider than the Citation Longitude, and a 4,500-nautical-mile range. The program has since stalled; no production aircraft has been certified or delivered as of 2026. Why the Cessna Citation Hemisphere Fits Dallas
The Hemisphere’s announced specifications positioned it well for the DFW corporate and group market: 12 to 19 seats would have served the kind of multi-executive board travel and group charter demand that originates from the Metroplex’s 24 Fortune 500 headquarters. Routes like Dallas-New York and Dallas-London would have been within the projected range. As of today, those trips go on other aircraft.
Until the program reaches certification and enters commercial service, no operator can legally offer the Hemisphere for charter.
