Embraer Phenom 300

The Embraer Phenom 300 is the most delivered business jet of the past decade, and in Dallas it has become the standard recommendation for the Texas triangle routes that Fortune 500 executives and energy sector teams run week after week. Six to eight seats, 1,971 nautical miles of range, and a cabin that does not feel like a light jet.

Embraer built the Phenom 300 around a pressurized cabin that punches well above the super-light category in perceived space. Two Pratt and Whitney Canada PW535E engines, cruise around 453 knots, and a ceiling of 45,000 feet. A mid-cabin enclosed lavatory and a flat floor make it a genuinely functional aircraft for a three-hour working leg.

Why the Embraer Phenom 300 Fits Dallas

Dallas to Houston is roughly 240 nautical miles, which at Phenom 300 cruise pace is a 35-minute block. Dallas to Austin runs about 180 nautical miles. Both are the intrastate corridors where Dallas corporate clients have largely replaced commercial connections, and the Phenom 300’s operating economics on these short sectors make it the most quoted aircraft in the category. Addison Airport (KADS) in Addison, TX puts Park Cities and Legacy West clients within a 15-minute drive of the ramp.

For the Permian Basin energy sector, Dallas to Midland-Odessa (MAF) is approximately 300 nautical miles. The Phenom 300 covers it in under an hour, carries six to eight people comfortably, and operates easily at KADS without the handling complexity of Love Field or KDFW. An energy executive making a same-day Midland trip and back does not need anything larger.

Oklahoma City (OKC) at roughly 180 nautical miles and Little Rock (LIT) at around 320 nautical miles are both frequent DFW metro destinations that fill the Phenom 300’s capability range exactly. The aircraft’s 1,971-nautical-mile ceiling also means occasional longer legs, Dallas to Albuquerque or Dallas to the Colorado ski markets, work in the same aircraft without swapping up.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Embraer Phenom 300 run $4,500 to $5,800 per hour as of 8/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

The Phenom 300 quotes in the middle of the super-light band. On the intrastate Texas corridors it runs frequently, the combination of cabin quality and operating economy makes it a consistently competitive option against both lighter and heavier aircraft in the category.
